How does it work?
The pump usually plugs into a 12 V car socket or a battery. You set the target pressure, connect the hose to the valve and, depending on the model, the pump stops automatically once the pressure is reached. Meanwhile, you can get the rest of your gear ready.
Selection criteria
- Maximum pressure: it must be at least equal to the recommended pressure for your gear, shown in PSI.
- Power supply: 12 V, built-in battery or both.
- Nozzles: check that they fit the valves of your paddle board, kayak or inflatable.
- Deflate function: handy for packing your gear away quickly.

Good practice
Don’t leave the pump running unattended, respect the rest periods stated by the manufacturer and protect it from sand and splashes. If you use it on your vehicle’s battery, keep the engine running to avoid draining it.
