A life jacket is the essential piece of safety equipment for any water activity. Paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, towable tubes or a boat trip: HANA Outdoors offers life jackets and buoyancy aids for men, women and children.

Life jacket or buoyancy aid?

Personal flotation devices are classified by performance level, expressed in newtons (50 N, 100 N, 150 N…). A 50 N buoyancy aid, lighter and less restrictive, is suited to water sports close to shore where help is at hand. Higher-rated life jackets are intended for sailing further offshore. The level of each model is shown on its product page.

Choosing the right size

A life jacket is sized first by weight, then by chest circumference. A well-fitted jacket should not ride up above the ears when pulled up by the shoulders. For children, choose a model with a crotch strap and a head-support collar. See the size guide on each product page.

Care
