A wetsuit protects you from the cold, the wind and the sun, so you can enjoy the water for longer and earlier in the season. Paddle boarding, kayaking, surfing, wingfoiling or swimming: discover HANA Outdoors wetsuits for men, women and children.
How does a wetsuit work?
Neoprene traps a thin layer of water between your skin and the suit. Warmed by your body, this layer reduces heat loss. To be effective, a wetsuit must therefore fit well: too loose and water flows through and keeps renewing; too tight and it restricts movement.
Which thickness should you choose?
Thickness is expressed in millimetres, often with two figures (for example 3/2): the first for the torso, the second for the arms and legs, which are thinner to preserve mobility. A thin wetsuit or a shorty is fine for warm summer water; a thicker full suit is preferable in spring, autumn or cooler water. The thickness of each model is stated on its product page.
