Skateboard, cruiser or longboard?
The classic skateboard, with both ends kicked up, is made for tricks and the skatepark. The cruiser, shorter and fitted with softer wheels, is ideal for getting around town. The longboard, longer and more stable, suits long rides and surf-like sensations. The type of each board is given on its product page.
Wheels
Soft wheels absorb bumps in the road and suit cruising; harder wheels roll faster on smooth surfaces and make tricks easier.
Ride safely
Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended, along with wrist, elbow and knee pads, especially for beginners. Respect pedestrians and local traffic rules.
Care
Avoid riding in the rain or through puddles: water damages the bearings. Regularly check that the trucks are tight and the wheels are in good condition.
