Which length should I choose?

Choose a leash roughly the length of your board, or slightly longer:

• 6' leash: boards up to 6'4 (shortboard).
• 7' leash: boards up to 8'0 (shortboard, fish, mini-mal).
• 9' leash: boards up to 10'0 (mal, longboard) and stand up paddle boards.

How to use

Attach the leash to your board’s plug with its string, then fasten the strap around your ankle on your back-foot side. Check the cord and fastenings before each session, and rinse the leash with fresh water after use.

Which boards is it for?
This leash is designed for surfboards up to 10'0 (mals, longboards) and stand up paddle boards. It suits, for example, our HANA Premium 7'8 inflatable surfboard. For other sizes, see the 6' leash and the 7' leash.

What about leisure paddle boarding?
On calm seas, lakes or rivers, the 10' coiled SUP leash doesn’t drag in the water. In the waves, stick with this straight leash: a coiled leash tends to pull the board back towards you after a fall.

How do I look after it?
Rinse it with fresh water after each session and dry it in the shade: sunlight damages the cord over time.
